The World Championship in the DanceSport decathlon is held in Chengdu and all six finalists of last year's World Ten Dance in Riga, LAT, have travelled to China. In Riga, Miha Vodicar - Nadiya Bychkova, SLO, prevailed over Daniil Ulanov - Kateryna Isakovych, UKR, after they danced a very strong Latin part. Jaak Vainomaa - Taina Savikurki, FIN, were third. The only non-European couple in the final was Anton Belyayev - Antoaneta Popova, CAN. They ended up in fifth. At the European Championship that was held in Mégève, FRA, earlier this year, Miha and Nadiya kept the upper hand against Jaak and Taina, but the winning margin was a mere two points.
